Terraform3D is a business based in Cheshire, UK, providing custom NFC-enabled marketing products and smart digital profile services. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

2. What Data We Collect

When you create an account or use our Smart Profile service, we collect:

• Account data: your name, email address, and username
• Profile data: display name, bio, avatar image, profile links, and chosen theme
• Contact card data: email address, phone number, and location (only if you enable vCard and provide these)
• Technical data: a session cookie to keep you logged in

We do not collect payment information, track you across other websites, or use advertising cookies.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data solely to:

• Create and manage your account
• Display your public Smart Profile to people who scan your NFC product or visit your profile link
• Allow visitors to download your contact card (vCard), if you enable this
• Respond to support requests you send via our contact form

The lawful basis for processing is performance of a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) — we need this data to provide the service you signed up for.

4. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We use the following third-party processors:

• IONOS SE — web hosting and database storage (servers in the EU/UK). Your data is stored on IONOS-managed infrastructure under their data processing agreement.
• FormSubmit — processes contact form submissions sent to us. Submissions are forwarded to our business email only.

5. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in while you use the site. This cookie is strictly necessary for the account functionality and does not track you. It expires when your session ends or when you log out.

We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

Your account and profile data is kept for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from your profile dashboard — this permanently removes all your data from our systems, including your profile, links, and contact card details.

7. Your Rights Under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Rectification — correct inaccurate data (you can update most data yourself in your dashboard)
• Erasure — delete your account and all associated data (available in your dashboard, or contact us)
• Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Objection — object to processing in certain circumstances
• Restriction — request we restrict processing while a dispute is resolved

8. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text. All connections to our servers use HTTPS. We do not store payment information.

9. Data Transfers

Your data is stored and processed within the UK and EU. We do not transfer personal data to countries outside this area.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by updating the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
